A Good Day!

I woke up this morning, walked out my front door to climb in my car and go to work, when I noticed something interesting. There were no shell craters in my front yard and not crashed planes in my back yard. My home is intact and my family is safe and sound. So, it occurred to me: it's going to be a pretty good day.

Take it from a expert grouch: keep your perspectives, find the bright side and count your many blessings. It could always be worse and it just might get that way. Love your family, be thankful for your county and give God the credit He is due.

Why? Why? Why all the contradictions?

Why is it that some people I know who have a "kill 'em all; let God sort 'em out" mentality toward child molesters, are pro-abortion? Why do they think torturing and murdering a child five minutes after birth is contemptible, but to selfishly terminate the life of a child five minutes before birth is acceptable?

Why is it that virtually everyone who is anti-death penalty is pro-abortion? Why do they make a Herculean effort to save the life of a serial rapist-murderer, but believe we should do nothing to defend the most innocent and helpless among us?

Why is it that groups like PETA and other wacko animal rights groups are pro-abortion? Why is it that they have compassion for the four legged, but not the two legged among us.? Why do they will donate thousands of dollars and hours of time to saving the whales, but still abide the destruction of a fetus?

Why is it that Hollywood, liberals in general, and, incidentally, libertarians, praise motherhood and extol its virtues, while all the while, supporting the "right" of mothers to have their children pulled limb-from-limb inside the womb? What does that say about how we should view motherhood in general in today's society?

How does a mother look her child in the eye all the while knowing that she has taken the life of what would've been that child's older or younger sibling? How does that child look his mother in the eye knowing what she did to someone who would've been his brother or sister?

Why is that Planned Parenthood never counsels on how to be a parent, but only on how to receive an abortion? Why is it that they, when discussing "alternatives" with a pregnant woman, never discuss the alternative of adoption?

Why do people give so much time and money to fertility doctors, yet, in vitro fertilized eggs are tossed away or destroyed daily for the sake of "science"? Why do doctors talk about "do no harm" and the Hippocratic Oath, yet take money for ending the lives of the yet to be born? Could the reason be that the abortion industry be one big money pot?

Why is it that the liberals who say we should "stay out of the womb" want the federal government to pay for abortions? Why is it that these same people who call Conservatives "Nazis" and squeal about the Bill of Rights want nine Supreme Court Justices to decide what life is, what marriage is and whether or not I can own a gun?

Why did the Supreme Court, in Roe v. Wade, say that only the mother can decide if the child should be brought to term and delivered? Why did the Supreme Court, in Davis v. Davis, say that only the father could decide if the child should be brought to term and delivered?

Why is it that Hitler killed six million jews, et al., in concentration camps in four years, and we call him the child of Satan, (as we should,) yet, America kills one million plus children every year in abortion clinics and we call it a "choice." Why do so many call "it" a "choice" when what "it" is is a child?

Why is it that only people who have not been aborted are pro-abortion? Oh, yeah, those who have been aborted are unable to give their opinion.

Why is it that they argue that these children are not really human, (just as some have once argued that blacks and jews aren't human,) when the truth is that, these types really just don't care? Why is it that when someone doesn't care, no amount of reason, ration or religion can make them care?

What can make them care? Perhaps, the better question is, "Who can make them care?"
